Lens Compromise

Tue Apr 15, 2008, 1:58 PM
After learning to be patient and very selective using my old 50mm lens, i have bought a cheap 28-80mm auto/manual focus lens to use while the 18-70 is STILL in the repairers - bet its still there in a month ;). Just glad to have a bit more flexibility and can finally use the light meter again.

Hope everyone is well.

You can always compensate for any softness with a little careful Photoshop unsharp mask.

I think you've done very well with the lens you had available, especially using it in a non-macro way. Look forward to seeing the results of the new lens. :D

:) It isn't too bad - i think the lens is plastic? Any ideas - its a 'Nikon AF NIKKOR 28-80mm 1:3.3-5.6 G'. Thanks for the advice.
